Even as we prepare for the 15th edition of the Spelling Leaders Competition in Nigeria, we are glad to announce that we just got REGISTERED in The Gambia.

We are fully registered in four countries (Nigeria, The Gambia, Sierra Leone and Ghana).
It has been six (6) of impact and giving hope to the hopeless, reviving and igniting learning in our young ones. We are grateful to God for the opportunity to grow and we look forward to doing more for kids in Africa and the world at large.
Through our various initiates as an NGO, SPELL – (Saving the Poor and Enhancing Learners/Leaders through Literacy), we have a couples of students on scholarship, and our Spelling Leaders Competition is currently open for schools to participate.

The visit to the Gambia happened in February 2023. The Ministry of Education was visited and verbal approval was given to host the program in the country, which was later backed up with a written approval.

In all of these countries, the Project enjoyed warm reception but time spent going through the due processes of approval made it difficult to meet up with the pace of the Project in Nigeria, necessitating the shift of the hosting in these countries to the next edition, where the competition is expected to be hosting concurrently in these countries alongside Nigeria.

The visit to Liberia which was made possible in November 2022 was another huge success as we got the nod of the authorities to introduce our competition into the Country.

During the visit to Sierra Leone by the team in November 2022, the SPELL Africa International Project was well received in Sierra Leone, facilitating the accelerated registration of the organization with the Corporate Affairs Commission in Sierra Leone.

There was also a visit to the Federal Ministry of Education in the Country with a very warm reception and affirmation of support for the project. The Project Coordinating Team in Sierra Leone was also well constituted at the visit and actively working since then.
